With the Free Online Weld Seam Spacing Calculator, you can calculate the required distance between weld seams based on the parameters entered.
Who hasn’t experienced this: A technical drawing filled with numerous welding specifications, but insufficient dimensions. Only the weld lengths and the desired number in various sections are provided. I hope this tool can help you as much as it has often made my work easier.
Instructions
Length of Welding Area (mm): Enter the total length of the area where the welds are to be placed.
Weld Length (mm): Enter the length of each individual weld in millimeters.
Number of Welds: Enter the total number of welds to be placed within the welding area.
Edge Distance (mm) (Optional): If applicable, enter the edge distance in millimeters for the welding area.
Calculate: Click on the "Calculate" button.
Results:
After clicking "Calculate," the basic information, such as the total area considered for welding, the specified number of welds, and their respective lengths, will be displayed again. Additionally, the following will be calculated:
The spacing between the welds.
The distance from the center of one weld to the center of the next weld.
Additionally, you will find a visual representation below, showing how the welds should be distributed.
