Methods to Determine VO2max
Cooper Test
The Cooper Test measures how far you can run in 12 minutes. The further you run, the better your endurance and VO2max.
Rockport Walking Test
During the Rockport Walking Test, you walk 1 mile (1.61 km) as fast as you can. Immediately afterward, your heart rate is measured. This data is used by the tool to calculate your VO2max.
1.5 Mile Run Test
This test measures how quickly you can run 1.5 miles (2.41 km). Your VO2max is calculated based on your running time and the distance covered.
