Instructions
Select Mode: Choose between QR Code Generator to create a QR code or QR Code Scanner to upload and test existing QR codes.
QR Code Generator:
QR Code Type: Choose whether you want to create a QR code for a URL, text, email, phone number or WiFi network.
QR Data: Enter the information your QR code should contain based on the selected type.
Personal Logo: Upload your own logo which will appear in the center of the QR code.
Generate: Click the Generate button and the preview shows your QR code instantly.
Download: Click the Download button to save your QR code as a full resolution PNG image.
QR Code Scanner:
Upload QR Code Image: Upload an image of your QR code from your device.
Scan: Click the Scan button to analyze the QR code.
Result: The decoded content of the QR code is displayed. Please note that QR codes not created with this tool may not always be recognized. In such cases, more reliable tools like Google Lens may work better.
How QR Codes Work
A QR code is a two dimensional code that stores information in small black and white squares. It includes fixed areas that help the scanner recognize the orientation. The three large corner markers are the most important part because they make sure the code is detected correctly no matter how it is rotated. Between these fixed parts you find the actual data which is stored in a binary pattern. When you add more information the pattern becomes denser and the code contains more detail.
QR codes also come with built in error correction. This feature allows the code to be scanned even if parts are damaged or covered which makes the system very reliable. When your camera reads the pattern the software translates the tiny squares into digital data and shows the content behind it. This can be a link, an email, a text or anything else that was encoded.
There are also modern QR code styles that use creative visual designs. Some have round shapes instead of sharp squares, softer outlines or subtle color gradients. Some even look like small artworks while still staying fully functional. This works because the core structure of the code remains untouched.
