With the Free Online Character & Word Counter, you can easily count the number of characters and words in your text.
This tool is especially helpful when writing texts with character or word limits, such as for social media, academic papers or SEO content. It shows you the total number of words, all characters with spaces and also characters without spaces. The estimated reading time is calculated as well.
Instructions
Text input: Enter the text to be analyzed or paste it from your clipboard into the text field.
Character count: The counter displays the following results in real time:
Characters (with spaces): This counter displays the total number of characters, including spaces.
Characters (without spaces): This counter displays the number of characters without spaces.
Words: This counter shows the total number of words in the text.
Estimated reading time: This shows the approximate time it would take to read the text, based on an average reading speed of 220 words per minute.
Other buttons:
Copy text: Click on the "Copy Text" button to copy the entered text to your clipboard.
Delete text: Click on the "Clear Text" button to delete the text area.
