With the Free Online Basic Math Calculator, you can perform fundamental mathematical calculations.
It's a simple calculator you can use whenever you don't feel like opening an app on your phone or computer. Just keep it open as a browser tab and quickly do your basic math whenever you need.
Instructions
Standard Calculator Functions
Input: Use the buttons 0-9 to enter numbers, a dot for decimals, and the mathematical operators +, −, ×, ÷ to perform calculations. You can also paste entire calculation sequences directly into the input field.
( ) : Use the parentheses buttons for nested calculations.
C: The C button clears the entire input field.
←: This button deletes the last entered character or number.
=: The equals button performs the calculation of the entered numbers and functions. The result is displayed directly in the input field. In case of errors, "Error" appears briefly, and you can correct the formula.
Calculation History: The last calculated expression is always displayed completely under the result field. You can highlight and copy it if needed.
Advanced Functions
Advanced-Button: Click the Advanced button to expand the advanced area. Click the Basic button to collapse it again.
Memory Buttons:
MC (Memory Clear): Clears the stored memory value, if any.
MR (Memory Recall): Retrieves the stored memory value and inserts it into the current input.
M+ (Memory Add): Adds the current display value to the stored memory value.
M- (Memory Subtract): Subtracts the current display value from the stored memory value.
(Note: The memory status is shown in the top-left corner, so you can see if a value is stored.)
Additional Calculation Functions:
% (Percent): Converts the entered number into a percentage (e.g., 50% → 0.5).
π (Pi): Inserts the mathematical constant Pi, which is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter (approximately 3.14159).
e: Inserts Euler's number, the base of the natural exponential function (approximately 2.71828).
√ (Square Root): Calculates the square root of the following number or the expression in parentheses.
^ (Exponentiation): Allows power calculations, e.g., 2^3 = 8.
log: Base-10 logarithm (log10)
ln: Natural logarithm
abs: Absolute value of a number
! (Factorial): Calculates the factorial of a number, e.g., 5! = 120
Trigonometric Functions:
sin: Sine function
cos: Cosine function
tan: Tangent function
