Hey everyone, today I’m sharing some personal insights once again. My moped time has officially come to an end – I’ve deregistered my moped, and the next step will be to get my car driver’s license. I’m looking forward to it, but I still find it sad that my moped days are over.
In this blog, I haven’t really touched on the topic of mopeds and moped tuning, so it might seem a bit strange to some of you that I'm writing a dedicated post about it. Here on the website, I primarily cover other topics and only occasionally share personal glimpses into my life. On my Superchat blog, almost every other post is about personal matters.
The advantage of working on and tuning mopeds is that they are relatively simple in structure – much simpler than cars – and they don’t incur extreme costs. Even if something broke while we were racing through the woods, the part was quickly repaired.
This will probably change with cars, as my interest in tuning in this area is somewhat lower.
The Future: Two-Wheels, Yes or No?
Although I no longer have a street-legal moped, I still have a dirt bike and a mini bike in my garage. I’ve considered getting a motocross bike, but I’d actually prefer something street-legal so I don’t have to ride only on specific tracks. Still, I don’t think I will pursue a motorcycle license at this point. I enjoyed riding mopeds because it allowed me to be, let’s say, young and reckless, and to let loose in the woods. That wouldn’t be as easy now, and I think it would be a bit too dangerous for me.
Overall, it was a great time, and I’ll surely look back on it fondly.
