January 01, 2010
In recent years, fitness, nutrition, and health have become my greatest interests. I have realized how important it is to take care of my body. A significant obstacle on this path, however, is my smoking habit.
It's Time to Quit Smoking
I started smoking in 2006, at the age of 14 or 15. Like many, it was peer pressure that led me to it. And now, I have decided to quit again. I have already had one or two failed attempts, but this time I am writing it down here, and that is something crucial to stick with it. As silly as it may sound, publishing it on my blog sort of prevents me from failing. It's different in real life, where, for example, I won't tell anyone from my circle of friends about it, as they have significantly contributed to hindering me in quitting smoking.
Yesterday, on New Year's Eve, I smoked my last cigarette.
So: Whenever you read this blog post, I assure you that I have been smoke-free since January 1, 2010.
Although I have only smoked for about four years, I am aware that it will still be a great challenge. I am convinced that it will be worth it and want to take this opportunity with this blog post to encourage other smokers to take the step towards a healthier life.
