Hey everyone, it’s time for another personal update from me. I occasionally keep you updated on my goals, and a lot has happened recently in my life (or rather, in our lives).
To give you a quick recap: my primary goals were to buy a house, get married, and have a child. Some time ago, I married a wonderful woman, and with the birth of our daughter, I’ve now achieved my two biggest goals in life.
The next step is to buy our own house. To achieve this, we plan to continue saving in the coming years. Instead of moving to a larger and more expensive apartment, we’ll stay in our small but affordable one.
Our plan is to either buy a fixer-upper at a lower price that we can renovate to our liking or, my personal favorite, find an affordable house in excellent condition that we can just furnish according to our tastes.
Originally, I considered buying a plot of land and building a house myself. However, I’ve moved away from that idea for two reasons. First, everyone I know who has built a house has told me they would never do it again. You work a full-time job, need an additional source of income, and then work on the construction site at home as well. And, of course, you can’t do it without a bank loan. Then there are worries about potential price increases and the fact that the construction process can stretch over many years.
I believe those people who told me that. When you browse online, you can see that there are countless houses available for sale. So, we will definitely be heading in that direction.
For now, we’re just enjoying our family happiness. I’ll keep you updated.
