You may have noticed that my website is now entirely in English. The reason is pretty simple: I can reach a lot more people that way. I originally thought about writing everything in both German and English, but keeping two versions of every page would be quite a bit of work. So I decided to stick with English.
German is my native language, of course. But strangely enough, I actually find some parts of English easier to write. The grammar often feels less complicated to me, and I don't have to worry about formal and informal ways of addressing people quite as much.
That doesn't mean my English is particularly good yet. Far from it. I probably can't speak or write two sentences without making some kind of mistake. That's why I use translation tools and get help from a few native English speakers who proofread my texts. A big thank you to everyone who's helped me so far!
I hope writing in English regularly will help me improve too. And if you spot a terrible mistake or a saying I've completely messed up, please tell me. I'd rather know.
